SRINAGAR, Apr 6: Daily wagers of Sericulture department today carried out a protest demonstration in support of their demands. The protesters said that the Minimum Wages Act should be implemented and they should be paid the minimum wages.
The protesters said that although adequate funds are sanctioned for the daily wagers of the sericulture department but they are paid Rs. 500-800 at the end of the month. They urged the administration to look into the matter so that minimum wages are paid to them. |
