Skill Development Department organizes industry drive apprenticeship mela

JAMMU, Apr 21: Government Industrial Training Institute Jammu under Directorate of Skill Development Department organized an Industry Drive and Apprenticeship Mela today to create awareness among youth/Establishments regarding registration process of apprentice/establishments on apprenticeship portal viz https://www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in. The Dignitaries viz. Regional Director, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship J&K, S. Shantimanalan, Director, Skill Development Department J&K Sudershan Kumar (JKAS), Deputy Director SPIU/Principal (Sr. Scale)- Rajendra Kumar, Joint Director Skill Development Department, Farooq Ahmed Khan, Vice Principal, Rajesh Kumar Banotra, Superintendent Govt. ITI for Women Jammu and R.S. Pura, Rajesh Gupta, Ravi Gupta, Asstt Director and Vivek Sagar, AAA Skill Development Department were present in the auspicious occasion of Apprenticeship Mela today at Govt. ITI Jammu.
On the occasion Er. Rajendra Kumar, AAA - Nodal ITI Jammu welcomed all the higher officers/officials, staff members, industry partners viz. and Representatives of Bari Brahmana industry Association various industry partner and fresher apprentice trainees to join today's workshop in the institute.
Principal ITI Jammu also highlighted the achievements in Apprentice Scheme done by Nodal ITI Jammu.
Sudershan Kumar (JKAS), Director, Skill Development Department J&K appreciated the efforts of the Nodal ITI Jammu for organizing graceful function regarding the Apprenticeship Mela and appealed to all the Industry partners to contribute more and more for the youth of Jammu and Kashmir. ADDC Jammu/Chairman of District Skill Committee, Romesh Chander congratulated Govt ITI Jammu for organizing this Apprenticeship mela and stressed upon more awareness and also advised Industry partners to associate themselves with the ITIs.
Joint Director Skill Development Deptt. Jammu Er. Farooq Ahmed Khan highlighted the achievements / activities done by the department in the apprenticeship scheme and requested all the industry partners to boost the Apprenticeship Training Scheme. Er. Avnil Mahajan, Incharge Apprenticeship Portal and Er.
Rajesh Banotra, Vice Principal ITI Jammu brief the Apprentice scheme with on spot live demonstration of candidate/establishment registration process. RDSDE, Director addresses the gathering and highlighted the benefits of apprenticeship scheme and opportunities by the Govt. of India. It also focus on the establishments registered in the J&K UT and advise to the representative of industries to accommodate ITI passout/trainees under the apprenticeship Act. During the deliberation and discussions the Industry Partners requested to Director RDSDE to depute your representative and conduct seminars / awareness camp in their factories / establishments. Sudershan Kumar (JKAS), Director, Skill Development Department J&K Awarded Appreciation Memento to Officers/officials of Skill Development Department, Govt ITI Jammu and Industry partners for their contribution in making this event successful. Vote of thanks was presented by Er. Nazir Ahmed, Senior faculty member.
