Early Times Report JAMMU, Jan 17: Jammu & Kashmir UT has created history in Indian Taekwondo as young athlete Samrat Singh clinched a Gold Medal in the Sub-Junior Boys Under 35 kg category at the 39th Sub-Junior National Taekwondo Championship 2025-26, held from 13th to 15th January 2026 at Talkatora Indoor Stadium, New Delhi. The prestigious championship was organised by the Delhi Taekwondo Association under the aegis of the Taekwondo Federation of India (TFI) and supported by the J&K Sports Council (JKSC). Samrat Singh, a talented trainee of Shield Taekwondo Academy, Doda, represented Jammu & Kashmir UT with exceptional skill and determination, defeating strong competitors from across the country to secure the top podium finish. Training under the expert coaching and guidance of Mr. Burhan Ud Din Khan (Coach & Referee), Samrat's achievement stands as a proud moment not only for his academy but also for the entire sporting fraternity of Jammu & Kashmir.
