 Early Times Report JAMMU, Jan 17: The Jammu Information Veterans (Pensioners' Association) has expressed profound shock and grief over the sad and tragic demise of its colleague, Shri Thakur Singh, former Asstt Director of information last evening after a fall from his house top in Jammu. With serious head injury, he was rushed to GMC and was shifted to ICU where he passed away. He was cremated at his native place -Assar today. He was 70 and survived by his wife, a daughter, and a son. Veterans recalled his commendable services in the Deptt & because of his dedication, talent, capacity, integrity & humility, ever smiling & lovable Thakur Singh was picked up for posting with C M Shri Ghulam Nabi Azad & Governor Shri N. N. Vohra & after retirement, taken as Media officer in SMVDS Board for more than seven years. Despite his placement with top-ranking personalities, he never asked for anything for himself or his children.
