New set of Kashmir centric leaders desperate to make their presence felt 3 former CMs become history, Jammu leaders need to wake up 2/15/2020 11:35:57 PM EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Feb 15: As the three former chief ministers of Jammu and Kashmir, Farooq Abdullah his son Omar Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti continue to remain under detention, new set of Kashmir centric politicians are making desperate attempts to project themselves as the viable alternative to replace the old horses. Former Finance Minister and the rebel leader of Peoples Democratic Party, Altaf Bukhari, is leading the charge. He is all set to launch his new political party. The disgruntled former PDP legislators, who were seen accompanying Bukhari in the past, have already announced that they would be joining his new party. Besides some old hands like Ghulam Hassan Mir and Hakeem Yasin, both former ministers and legislators too are likely to side with Bukhari.
