R&B Deptt makes mockery of Guv admin with impunity

Early Times Report Jammu, Aug 12: Top government sources reveal that Designs, Inspections and Quality Control department of the state- which comes under the purview of the R&B department has been failing norms and laid down procedure with impunity and with no fear of the consequences for throwing rules to the wind. The posts of three Deputy Research Officers in its Srinagar wing have been held up within the department illegally by the junior level engineers. Further, a JE has been working in violation of the rules in the department's Road Research Laboratory. The post of the JE is nowhere existent in the laboratory but the JE in question has managed to grab the post and discharge the duties there. No one has touched him so far. Also, the posts of the Research Officer is held illegally by a Junior level engineer who is otherwise an Incharge AEE in the R&B Department. Besides that the three posts of the Deputy Research Officers that have to be directly filled by the Public Service Commission are occupied by the Junior Level Engineers in violation of the rules. Dozens of relatives and neighbours of family of missing girl today assembled at Zero Morh, Reasi and criticized police and district administration for failure to trace out the girl.
