Akshay Azad Early Times Report Jammu, May 15: Mocking at the e-governace claims of the successive governments, the official website of Jammu and Kashmir Cooperatives Department has failed to even update the name and profile of the minister incharge. Astoundingly, on the official website, Dr. Manohar Lal Sharma is still the Minster of State for Cooperatives. On the official website of JK Cooperatives Department, jkcooperatives.nic.in, in the option Minister's Profile, Dr. Manohar Lal Sharma is shown as Minister for State Cooperatives, who has been projected as Independent Legislator. The information posted on the website is not only outdated but also completely erroneous as Dr. Manohar Lal Sharma, the former minister of state for Cooperatives had successfully contested from Billawar constituency in year 2008 as Congress party candidate and he was inducted as Minister of State on July 17 2009, in the coalition government, that too from Congress' quota. "It is now more than three months since coalition government has come into existence and Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) Cherring Dorjay had been nominated as Minister for Cooperatives but, he is still not the Cooperatives' Minister on official website, which only shows the callousness of department officials", an official said. He further said that most of the officials in the department were just passing time here and were always in search of some new department. "It is only due to such officers that this sector has almost been wiped out from state", he alleged. Moreover, in the Orders/Circular section, an order of January, 2014, is updated, while in the Plan and Budget section, only updates of financial year 2011-12 are there, which are two years old. |
