Early Times Report

Kishtwar, June 1: In a much publicized case of admission scandal in unregister Apex Paramedical Institute Doda as well as Asraria Para Medical and Research Institute Kishtwar involving the carrier of over three thousand innocent children, three member inquiry committee constituted by Deputy Commissioner Doda comprising of CMO Doda, Tehsildar Doda and SHO Police Station Doda today visited the Apex Paramedical institute and questioned the Principal of the institute and sought details from him pertaining to registration of the institute and demanded documents from him authenticating whether the institute is registered or not.
As per the details available with Early Times, the three member inquiry committee visited the institute at around 2 PM and spent some time inside the institute and questioned Dr Farooq Tak, Principal of the institute, who distanced himself from the controversy and informed the inquiry team that the whole record of the institute including relevant documents is maintained by the owner himself forcing the inquiry team to return empty handed.
Meanwhile, sources alleged that owner of the institute Ghulam Mohammad Magrey has gone into hiding. All the evidences prove that both Apex Paramedical Institute Doda and Asraria Para Medical and Research Institute Kishtwar were being allegedly running illegally and the certificates/diploma provided by them are invalid.
It is pertinent to mention that Principal Government Medical College Jammu Dr Ghansham while talking to Early Times confirmed that both the institutes are running illegally and the department has initiated an inquiry against the Apex Paramedical Institute Doda and Asraria Para Medical and Research Institute Kishtwar to be conducted by senior HOD Pathology Department Dr. Bhatia.
Dr. Ghansham also assured that they will discuss the issue in next board meeting of Paramedical Counsel wherein the council will pass a stricture against these illegally running institute. He said that as Paramedical Board President, his department has already send a letter to them asking them to close the institution as it is without NoC and is running illegally. He said that they are also contemplating to seal the institute and urged upon the students not to take admission in the institution as its certificate has no validity. He said that the process for recovery of all pending dues towards the institution will also be initiated against the institute.
It is further mentioned that in the alleged open loot and duping of innocent students, Apex Para medical institute in Doda and Asrariya Para Medical and Research Institute Kishtwar not only put the carrier of the innocent students at stake, but they also allegedly looted the hard earned money of the parents of the aggrieved students who are demanding action against owners of the institute.
The institute also take heavy toll on government exchequer as it has failed to deposit an amount of approximately 44 lacs towards Hospital Development Fund to District Hospital Doda which is necessary for the paramedical institutions under law to deposit clinic training fee @ Rs5000/student.
The matter came to fore when the victims applied for various advertised posts of paramedical in District Hospital Doda wherein the authorities declared their certificates as fraud and invalid.
