JU VC soothes Choudhary with re-appointment | Retains Yoga centre | | K Koushal JAMMU, Apr 3: "I think I'm constantly in a state of adjustment", is the new temperament of Dr. D L Choudhary who has been once again absorbed in Director Yoga Centre, Jammu University after his retirement as Administrator Gen Zorawar Singh Auditorium on 28.02.2014. Earlier, Choudhary was serving on two key positions of Administrator, Gen Zorawar Singh Auditorium as well as Director Yoga Centre, Jammu University. Following Vice Chancellor, proposing re-employment of DL Choudhary for one year under proposal no. PRO/VC/JU/13/51 dated 18 September 2013 to Governor. But a letter from Governor's secretariat with number GS-36 GZSA-) JU/12-13/3418 dated 1 October 2013 clearly stated that the DL Choudhary had only been given extension for two months with effect from 1.01.2014 to 28.2.2014 respectively. But after Vice Chancellor MPS Ishar failed to search a competent officer for the post of Director Yoga Centre, he without taking his highness Governor NN Vohra into confidence bypassed him and retained Choudhary in the Department of Yoga Jammu University to satisfy his relationship with Choudhary. Vice Chancellor of Jammu University, MP Singh Ishar said "All the financial powers have been transferred to registrar Jammu University however he admitted that DL Choudhary is being given incentives at around 20,000 by the Jammu University. Choudhary has invited various controversies time and time again while serving as Administrator of the Zorawar Singh Auditorium and has remained a notorious officer. In December, 2008 Choudhary had provided gymnasium hall and its premises for the marriage of the daughter of former Minister for Social Welfare Gharu Ram Choudhary without charging anything as the hall as well as space was provided for "social cause" as per an application forwarded by D L Choudhary that time. |
