JAMMU, Apr 3: Madan Lal Sharma, the Congress-National Conference coalition candidate for Jammu-Poonch Parliamentary Constituency sought vote for another term to serve the people. While addressing a public meeting at Mishriwala, Madan Lal said that on the basis of his performance as MP he desires another term to resolve the issues of the people which are unheard.
He said during the last two tenures he tried best to raise and resolve the issues pertaining to the Constituency such as long pending issues like one time settlement of refugees, Jammu-Poonch Railway line, 73rd Amendment to strengthen PRIs, providing LoC like facility to other border areas of the State, preservation and protection of heritage, culture, development of tourist places along with road connectivity, one Rank one Pension to defence personnel, creation of railway division at Jammu.
Maintaining that the efforts were also made by him for equitable development of Jammu region and he also tried to make contribution towards peace, prosperity and progress of the people of the area. Sharma said that the country has witnessed tremendous development in all spheres of life under the UPA regime in the past 10 years including in the State of Jammu & Kashmir. He cautioned the people against malicious campaign launched against UPA Government. |
