J&K Hemophilic Fed organizes awareness cum support programme

Jammu, Apr 3: Taking up the cause of people affected with rare blood disorder- Hemophilic, the Jammu and Kashmir Hemophilic Federation organized an awareness cum support programme at Govt Girls Hr Secondary School Sharstrinagar Jammu on Wednesday wherein BHEL (india) Ltd distributed Anti-Haemophilic Factors (AHFs) popularly known as 'lifeline' to eight poor students.
The said programme was organized with an aim of increasing knowledge and management of hemophilia among the affected persons especially the children from lacking resources. Project Director NRHM (J&K), Dr Yash Pal Sharma was the chief guest while Project Coordinator BHEL (India) Ltd Sarin Hari Ji Sondawale, Principal of School Farida Begum and President of host Federation Rohit Jandial also shared dais with chief guest. Speaking on the occasion Chief Guest Dr Yash Pal Sharma gave a brief but expert note talk on how to live with hemophilia and underlined that counseling to patients and precautions are the key to prevent any emergency. He also appreciated the initiative undertaken by the host organization to hold an awareness cum support progarmme for affected students.
Project Coordinator, BHEL (India) Ltd Sarin Hari Ji Sondawale gave a brief note about the various initiatives undertaken by the group to help hemophilic persons under it Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and distributed free medical kits containing Anti-Haemophilic Factors (AHFs) to eight hemophiliac children hailing from poor families. Earlier President of Jammu and Kashmir Hemophilic Federation Rohit Jandial spoke on activities undertaken by the forum for creating awareness among the affected persons and their families members. Founder member of federation Jagdish Kumar also spoke on the occasion and informed that federation has offered a financial assistance of Rs 500/- per month for a year to 50 needy students to encourage them for their studies.
