Lal Singh gets important party assignment in Uttarakhand

Jammu, Apr 3: After being barred from contesting the election from Udhampur-Doda_Kathua parliamentary seat, the incumbent Congress Member Parliament Chowdhary Lal Singh got an important assignment from Congress High Command as "Election Coordinator" for Uttarakhand state.
As per the details available with Early Times, after hectic lobbying and exploring all its resources, the Congress President Sonia Gandhi deputed the distressed MP on election duty in other state after he (Lal Singh) prayed before the Party President Sonia Gandhi and Vice President Rahul Gandhi that he is not willing to campaign in his home state after being snubbed by the party while declaring the mandate in favour of Union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad.
The sources informed that Lal Singh did not want direct face off with his Ghulam Nabi Azad after some of his supporters raised open revolt against Azad in wake of aftermath of denial a ticket to him from Udhampur-Doda-Kathua parliamentary seat. The sources further said that Lal Singh feels jittery to campaign along with those Congress leaders who had showed hatred against him and pledge before the party high command that even though he participate in poll campaign in favor of Azad, Azad's loyalist will not trust him and will seen him through the prism of treason.
The sources said that Lal Singh finally manage to garner the support of party high command who showed full trust on him and handed over him an important party assignment. The sources said that after getting party high command nod, Lal Singh has packed up his bags for Uttarakhand for poll campaign. He will directly report to party high command, beside will coordinate all election campaigning with regard to five parliamentary segments of the state. The new assignment has given hope to Lal Singh to stick with the party at highest level.
It is pertinent to mention that after being sidelined, MP Lal Singh even skip the nomination filling ceremony of Ghulam Nabi Azad, beside remain absent from poll campaigning on Udhampur-Doda_Kathua seat as well as prefer to stay away from poll campaigning on Jammu-Poonch-Rajouri seat.
