| Academic arrangement cadre elects body, demands regularization | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 14: Representatives from various polytechnics of Jammu division today constituted their body in the name and style of All J&K Polytechnics Academic Arrangement Association (AJKPAAA) to take up their issues and problems at appropriate levels for their redressal
The participating members elected Atul Sudan as the President of the Association, Vidhu Puri and Bhupinder Kour as Vice Presidents, Mukesh Padha and Madhvi Verma as General Secretaries, Saifullah Mattoo, Ashok Verma, Himani Khullar and Sonalini as Secretaries whereas Ankush Gupta,Neha Dhar, Sakshi Khajuria and Narrotam as Treasurer of the Association.
After being elected the newly elected Atul Sudan President AJKPAAA said that the Academic arrangements of all polytechnics are repeatedly being ignored by every government.
He said that Academic arrangements are serving the Technical Education Department from last 20 to 25 years but still no regularization policy is made for the Academic Arrangements. He said that the academic arrangements comprised 70 to 80% of the total strength of the total staff in the colleges.
He said AJKPAAA Demands that all the academic arrangements should be absorbed for regularization as one time Settlement for all or all the Academics working in the Polytechnics should be converted into the contractuals. Speakers urged Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and Minister for Technical Education Department to give heed to genuine demand including regularization of these employees. |
