Who is Begum Akber Jan, Mr Rana? 7/15/2014 12:07:47 AM Sandeep Bhat JAMMU, July 14: The people responsible for issuing press releases to media are either ill informed or are totally ignorant. It may be human error or a typo but the people in media cell are responsible for small or big mistakes when they send unedited or edited press releases to different agencies, print and electronic media and that is why every political party has opened separate media cell. On July 11, NC media cell Jammu sent a press release titled Rana lauds begum Akbar Jan contribution. They might have send to different agencies for publication. For Rana's information, it is not Begum Akber Jan but Begum Akber Jehan. The mistake is many times repeated in a release. Mistakes are often condoned but when it is Mader-e-Meharbaan, one has to be cautious especially if he happens to be a leader of the National Conference. This release was sent by Jammu media cell related to Javed Rana's function at Mendhar. Those who are responsible for this job should try to be more careful.
