NSUI holds meet, discusses issue of rampant corruption in University | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 14: National Students Union of India (NSUI) state president Neeraj Kundan today held a meeting to discuss various issues of university and particularly the rampant corruption in the university. In the meeting the main points of agenda which were discussed included misappropriation of funds in university campus, delay in results, increase in examination and re-evaluation fee, corruption in university administration through different construction projects and making the university corruption free from the officers sitting on key and prized positions among others. In the meeting the strategy to deal with these issues was discussed. The meeting was attended by all the NSUI leaders in the campus. The main issue which was discussed was misappropriation of funds during the construction works. NSUI pledged to clean the administration and bring a culture of ethics in the campus. They also declared that NSUI will never stay calm whenever it comes to the rights of the students and will clean the temple of learning from nepotism and favoritism. The problem of maintenance and beautification of the campus was also highlighted in the meeting. The main NSUI leaders who were present in the meeting included Kamal Magotra and Avjyot Singh, State General Secretaries, Ajay Kumar & Nasib Ali, National Delegates, Abhishek Dogra, State Secretary and Nitin Bhakhshi, President of NSUI Jammu University Unit. |
