VHP criticizes administration and police authority failing to maintain law and order 7/15/2014 12:36:37 AM Early Times Report Jammu, July 14: State VHP President Leela Karan Sharma criticized the administration and police authority for its failure to maintain law and order in the religious place of Thappa Biradri at Basi Khurd and denying permission for Chhinj/Dangal at the same venue. While addressing press conference, Leela Karan Sharma said the authorities also made a contempt of court of the orders of the Division bench of High Court Jammu & Kashmir in which it was clearly mentioned that the authorities should allow free Dangal/Chhinj at Basi Khurd and also thereby maintaining law and order. But due to the utter failure of the administration, denying permission to the rightful claimants for holding Dangal, the administration under the influence of blue eyed persons helped a particular community which resulted into the denying of the rights of the people and finally resulted to road blocked, stone pelting and chaos. It is particular to mention that the religious Devsthan of Thappa Biradri has a temple, rooms and other religious Poojasthal and Thappa Biradri since hundreds of years come at their religious place and holding of Chinnj/Dangal regularly. This religious place was donated by Maharaja Ram Singh 500 years back & the concerned have their original documents. But the corrupt officers of Revenue Department under the influence of political leaders for the benefits of vote Bank changed the records in their offices & thereby giving rise to this big controversy & grabbing of religious land by some "Gundas" & Land Grabbers, he alleged. He warned the Government that sincere efforts should be taken to check such elements, hold enquiry against the corrupt officers & also assure the minority community that their religious places shall not be interfered with and will be fully safe, otherwise VHP shall start state wise agitation in all the Blocks & villages against the nefarious designs of the Government & making the people alert to defend their religious places themselves.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
