Rs 12 lakh theft case worked out, 2 held | | | Jammu, July 14: Police today claimed to have solved the theft at Godown of LG company at Gangyal with the arrest of two persons and recovered stolen items worth Rs 12 lakh from their possession. Addressing a press conference, SP South Rahul Malik, said that police received complaint by one Pankaj Gupta of Channi Himmat in which he alleged that a theft had taken place in his godown. Based on the complaint, police registered a case and started investigation, he said and added, "during investigation, police lifted the storekeeper of the godown namely Sahil Singh of Rehari.' Senior officer added that during questioning the suspect admitted his involvement in the theft and spilled the beans. "On his disclosure, he said, "the police team also arrested one Sanjeev Kumar of Muthi and effected recovery of costly/expensive electronic gadgets worth Lakhs including 80 ACs, 33 LG washing machines , 14 LED TV and 3 Refrigerators having face value of Rs 12 lakh. |
