Cop, jawan among 3 killed, 6 injured in separate road mishaps | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 14: A constable and army jawan among three persons killed while six others received injuries in four separate mishaps across the Jammu. Police said that a constable of J&K police and an army jawan were killed while two others received injuries in collision between two motorcycles at Purkhoo area falling under the jurisdiction of Domana police station, this evening. The deceased has been identified as Gabbu Ram s/o Dayal Chand of Pallanwala and Tarun Singh s/o Rajinder of Takku Chack, Purkhoo while injured have been identified namely as Ajay Singh s/o Himmat Singh of Malal, Khour and Ajay Sharma s/o Tarsem Lal of Purkhoo. Police sources said that incident took place when Gabbu Ram (presently posted with Nagrota Police Station) was riding a Passion Plus motorcycle bearing regd no: JK02Al-5016 while other three were riding on a bullet motorcycle bearing regd no JK02BC-1783 and the two vehicles collided near Purkhoo resulting on spot death of Gabbu Ram while critical injuries to Tarun. Later Tarun succumbed during treatment at Government Medical College and Hospital (GMC&H). Sources also added that local and relatives of deceased stage protest over negligence of the timely medicare to critrical injured who succumbed at GMC&H Jammu Meanwhile, a youth identified as Rohit s/o Tarsem Lal of Bishnah killed when the motorcycle he was riding on skidded off the road near Kotli Bishnah. The injured was shifted to GMC&H but after some time he succumbed to fatal injuries. Yet in another accident in Kanachak area, two persons received injuries when the motorcycle they were riding on collided with a minibus coming from opposite direction. The injured have been identified as Bishu s/o Vinod Sharma and Sunny s/o Garu Ram both residents of Gajansoo. Meantime in another road mishap, two brothers sustained injuries when the motorcycle they were riding on collided with a car near Kathua. The injured have been identified as Omkar and Rakesh Saini both sons of Nanak Saini of Uttar Pradesh presently at Sawan Chack Kathua. All the four injured of the two incidents were referred to GMC&H Jammu while concerned Police have registered all the cases and concerned police stations. |
