UPET Doda stages protest, demands jobs | | | Doda, July 14: Agitated over the non serious attitude of the State Government, scores of Unemployed Physical Education Teachers (UPET) of Doda District today held a protest demonstration at District Headquarter Doda against the State Government for not conceding their genuine and long pending demands. Speaking on the occasion, President of the UPET District Doda Syed Khalid Jahangir criticized the State Government for showing their callous attitude towards the Unemployed trained PET. He highlighted various long pending and genuine demands which include immediate absorption of all UPET on the pattern of ReT and ReZ and job security of all trained PET. Further he added that, there are thousands of posts lying vacant in the concerned department but our government shows reluctance to fill those posts. He mentioned that around thousands of Unemployed Physical Education Teachers trained are at the verge of over age because of not their fault but due to the poor policy of the State Govt as no appointment in the Sports Department was made since long thus by destroying the career of those who have done their PET Degree Course. General Secretary of the Association, Jaffar Naik said present government has failed to act as pro people government, we are not begging before government but its our right to demand it when department has more than thousands posts vacant. |
