| Finally wait is over……. Renovated Swimming Pool thrown open | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 18: Finally the Much Awaited Only Swimming pool in Jammu gets renovation process completed today as Minister for Sports, Raman Bhalla today declared open the renovated swimming pool for the public but the trainees have to wait for some more days till the time the facility was made fully functional by the State Sports Council at MA Stadium.
In the Innaugration function, Bhalla also disclosed some other facilities of the stadium which includes:
Massive sports infrastructure
Later, speaking to the gathering, Minister said that massive sports infrastructure has been created across the state over the past five and half years to revive the sports culture in every corner and to provide talented youth an opportunity to refine their skills. He mentioned that there was no dearth of sports talent in J&K and government was making all out efforts to provide opportunities to the youth and nurture their talent.
While the Guest of honour of the function,Member Legislative Assembly (MLA), Ashok Khajuria could not make it to the function despite giving his consent to the hosts, State Sports Council. However, MLA Bishnah, Ashwani Sharma accompanied the Sports Minister at the function and encouraged the athletes asking them take part in sports in a big way thus bring laurels for the state and country.
Bhalla also approves construction activities without giving a thought to the jurisdiction of the Engineering Wing of the State Sports Council, the Minister for Sports, who happens to the vice-president of the autonomous sports body, today approved the construction activities outside its preview. “The Sports Council is at liberty to take up sports related projects outside also,” said the Minister in replay to a specific question. Important to mention here that the present Secretary of the Sports Council has shifted the entire sports staff to MA Stadium from the Sports House thereby making the place exclusive office for the engineers on deputation. |
