RSS not happy with ignoring nationalist people | BJP leaders prefer Kashmir's hospitality at cost of Jammu | | Early Times Report JAMMU, July 29: Meeting of BJP leader JP Nadda with separatist leader Sajjad Gani Lone is not going well in RSS circle because RSS leadership is not happy with the way Central leadership of the BJP is giving importance to Kashmiri separatist leaders at the cost of nationalist leaders of Jammu region. Credible sources in the BJP said that RSS leadership is not happy over the way Central leadership of BJP is giving importance to Kashmir. Instead of strengthening party at Jammu region where BJP has both the Lok Sabha seats the party leaders especially from Centre prefer to visit Valley to enjoy hospitality of the Kashmiri leaders. Recently meeting of JP Nadda with Sajjad Gani Lone, who is son in law of the Pakistan based JKLF leader, Amanullah Khan has evoked strong reaction among leadership of RSS, which regretted that after attaining power at Centre, BJP leadership is also following footsteps of Congress which was giving importance to Valley at the cost of Jammu. RSS leadership has told BJP leaders that approach adopted by the party to ignore Jammu region to enjoy hospitality of Kashmir valley would be proved counter-productive for the party in Jammu province. Not only party workers of Jammu would be demoralized but it will also give wrong message to the common people of Jammu who had voted over-whelming in favour of the party in recently held Parliamentary elections. Credible sources in the BJP said that some Central and State leaders have vested interests in focussing on Kashmir valley because these leaders have become habitual of enjoying hospitality of Kashmir valley. Insiders in the BJP said that in 2008 Assembly elections, party on papers had spent huge amount in Kashmir valley but could not save deposit of its candidates. Insiders said that a huge chunk of election funds in 2008 elections, which was meant for Kashmir valley, was pocketed by some leaders because there was no accountability. Candidates who had contested elections in Kashmir valley in 2008 were aware that they were not going to win so they were satisfied with the amount given to them and remaining part was alleged pocketed by some leaders. Same leaders who were active in 2008 Assembly elections are also at the helm of the affairs so they were "mis-guiding" the present leadership of the party to concentre on Kashmir valley so that they can again repeat 2008. They are trying to convince that BJP has huge scope in Kashmir valley. |
