DDC listens to grievances of people in interaction programme | | | Early Times Report
KATHUA, Sept 1: District Development Commissioner (DDC) of Kathua Shaheed Iqbal heard the grievances of the people during an interaction programme at the office of People's Action-cum-Welfare Committee here today. The public was called by the committee under the leadership of president of the PACWC, Gyan Singh Pathania who apprised DDC Kathua about the worst condition of drainage, streets, roads, traffic management and demanded the facility of at least three toilets from Kalibari to Shaheedi Chowk where heavy public rush and their movement from different parts of the Kathua and its adjoining areas is noticed. But due to the lack of toilet facilities these people are forced to face hardships. He further apprised that so far as the drainage system of the entire Kathua town is concerned it is totally defective and technically unfit due to which the blockage of drains is the routine problem resulting unbearable foul odor to lead health hazardous surroundings. While responding to the people who raised their grievances and demands for the betterment of the Kathua, DDC Shaheed Iqbal gave an assurance to find out an effective and result oriented ways to address the raised demands. |
