Jammu, Sept 11: In a bid to ensure telephone connectivity in the worst hit Indranagar-Badamibagh-Shivpora areas of Srinagar, Armed Forces have shifted a mobile tower from Kargil belt of Ladakh region to the state's summer capital.
A mobile tower of BSNL has been shifted from Kargil to Srinagar to provide mobile communications around Badami Bagh Cantonment (Indranagar-Shivpora), an Army officer said.
It is aimed to connect the worst flood hit area in the city to further speed up the communication with people trapped in the area.
