Opinion of subject experts can't be questioned: HC | | | Jammu, Sept 11: In a petition filed by one Sourav Goel, an aspirant in the CET for 2013, the court has ruled that in view of the in-built mechanism provided for by the BOPEE for redressal of grievances of un-satisfied candidates, there is hardly any scope to dispute the correctness of opinion of subject experts. When the hearing of petition was taken up, D C Raina Adv appeared for petitioner and BOPEE was represented through its standing counsel Anil Sethi Adv and both sides submitted their versions. The petitioner had, after appearing in the CET for the year 2013, challenged the result of BOPEE on the ground that the answer key displayed by the board was incorrect and that the answer given by him were correct. He had cited certain text books to bring home his point of view and urged that the board had not correctly appreciated his merit. The board looked a stand that the complaint of the petitioner was looked into and benefit was extended to him, wherever permissible. It was also submitted that all the representations of aggrieved candidates were sent to two experts who re-examined the suggestions of all such aggrieved candidates. "Even after giving benefit to the petitioner qua some answers, he was found lacking in merit and thus was not selected, experts added. |
