Launch relief operations on war-footing: PDP leader | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 11: Expressing his deep grief and shock over the loss of life and massive damages across the state in general and outskirts of Jammu city in particular, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for Jammu (W), Sarv Daman Bhasin today demanded that relief and rescue operations should be started on war-footing. Addressing series of party workers meeting in Janipur area of his constituency Daman castigated the State Government for remaining failed to rescue and evacuate the people belonging from Jammu region to safer places. He regretted that miseries of flood affected people are compounding with every passing day and there is a need to intensify relief operations without wasting even a minute. While hitting-out at Omar Abdullah led coalition regime, he said that this government is failure even to solve day today problems of the common masses and added that miseries of the people have increased manifold after formation of National Conference led regime in the State. While pointing towards PDP's agenda, he said PDP was committed to set up a new system of justice and equality so that every individual and region and sub-region of the State would get equal opportunity of growth and development. He urged party workers to gear their selves for the upcoming Assembly elections and connect with people at gross root level. |
