KPC writes letter to MoS in PMO, demands expedite in rescue operation

Jammu, Sept 11: Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC) Chief Kundan Kashmiri on Wednesday wrote a letter to Dr. Jitender singh, MOS in PMO and requested him to further expedite the rescue operation in flood-hit state of J&K. As per press release, the letter has been delivered in the office of MOS at North Block New Delhi himself by KPC Chief Kundan Kashmiri along with his organizational Secretary RL Raina. KPC appreciated the swift response of Government of India over the floods was a commendable job, but the rescue operation in the submerged Kashmir need to accelerate as valley is covered with water.
KPC highlighted that this has happened first time in the History of Kashmir, undoubtedly government is doing tremendous job, but to save the people, more choppers need to press in service as at every corner people are trapped seeking help. KPC Chief further urged that there is extreme need of boats, besides telecommunication should be restored at earliest. While lauding the role of Army, Air Force and Navy for offering selfless service to the people and stressed for the increase in number of troops to evacuate the people. In this letter KPC Chief requested MOS-PMO, since there is shortage of space at the Srinagar airport another airbase in Awantipura, may be be used for accommodating more helicopters to speed up the rescue operations. He also urged the government to bring medical teams from outside the state to treat the people as entire machinery of government is collapsed in the state of J&K.
