Srinagar, Nov 8: Cop turned politician and state Vice president Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) leader, P S Gill today said that Narendra Modi wave can be felt everywhere and Kashmir is no exception. While talking to media persons in Srinagar at the sidelines of a party function in which scores of people from different political parties joined Bhartiya Janata Party, Gill told reporters that more and more people are joining BJP as Narendra Modi wave is sweeping the country. "The Modi wave has made the people of Kashmir realize that only BJP can provide them a government based on justice and good governance," he said. Gill who was chief guest on the occasion while welcoming the new entrants said that BJP received overwhelming response in valley today where hundreds of youth/workers from different political parties and over a dozen prominent citizens joined BJP in a joining ceremony at hotel Lala Rukh. Among prominent who welcomed the new entrants by garlanding them included GM Mir, Dr Ali Mohammad Mir, Khalid Jehangir, Altaf Thakur, Dr Hina shafi Bhat, Dr Durakha Indrabi, Ashraf Reshi and other senior leaders. Highlighting party agenda, Gill said that the agenda of BJP is peace, development, progress, employment and justice. "All the political parties including National Conference and Congress have encouraged corruption in the station. Modi is intolerant towards corruption, he said and added, "party wants to assure the people of Kashmir that this party will relieve them from the miseries and will address their problem without any delay. Speakers also said, "Mr Modi is keen and serious in helping the flood victims of Kashmir Valley. |
