Jammu, Nov 8 : Assistant Professor in Biochemistry & Plant Physiology, SKUAST-Jammu Dr. Vikas Sharma attended Asian Plant Science Conference, held at Lumbini Nepal. As per release, DrVikas Sharma highlighted the use of botanicals from Jammu region in the management of cancer through power point presentation of his research paper entitled "The leaf part of Calotropisgigantea possesses in vitro cytotoxic effficiency against human cancer cells of breast, colon, lung and prostate origin". The international conference was attended by more than 300 hundred delegates from 12 different countries including India, Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, South Africa, Taiwan, Srilanka, USA, Jordan, Thailand, Finland and USA.
Dr. Vikas Sharma was the only candidate from Jammu and Kashmir.
DrVikas is also president of Teaching Association, SKUAST-Jammu. He has 8 years experience of teaching and research. He has published 2 books and has 61 research publications to his credit. |
