JAMMU, Nov 28: Both the teams of Army Public School (APS) BD Bari, Trikuta Club and Rajput Club, Jakh won their respective matches to move into the semifinals of the IInd Open Women's Volleyball Tournament, organised by Trikuta Volleyball Club under the aegis of Volleyball Association of J&K at JK Public School, Kunjwani, here today. Now, in the semifinals, Trikuta Club shall take on BD Bari-B and Rajput Club shall be playing against APS BD Bari-A. Earlier, as against the 10 teams, including two from Udhampur and Ramnagar, eight teams reported for the competition. The competition was declared open by Director of JK Educational Society, Sukhdev Singh while secretary, Jammu District Volleyball Association, Hardeep Singh Gill was guest of honour and Sidharth Daluja graced the occasion as special guest. Prominent among others present were Shakti Sharma, Manpreet Kaur, Rimpy Khajuria, Seema Sharma and Abid Shah. Today's quarterfinals officiated by the technical penal comprising Wasim Malik, Harish Sharma, Ajay Kumar and Parminder Singh under the supervision of Amarjeet Singh and Mulkraj Sharma. The Detailed Results: Quarterfinals: APS BD Bari-B beat JKPS 2-0 (25-23, 25-19), Rajput Club, Jakh beat SPMR College of Commerce 2-0 (25-19, 25-23), APS BD Bari- A beat Government High School Chowadi 2-0 (25-21, 25-22); Trikuta Club beat KV Samba 2-0 (25-18, 25-23). |
