Grave violation of Code of Conduct in Prime Minister's Udhampur rally | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 28: Prof Bhim Singh, Chief Patron of J&K National Panthers Party questioned Chief Election Commissioner of India about his credibility to hold free and fair election in J&K. Bhim Singh accused the so-called observers and administration for facilitating Modi's rally in Udhampur and elsewhere in the state. He pointed out that one vehicle of JKNPP was impounded by the District Returning Officer, Jammu 10 days ago when the vehicle was parked outside the headquarters of JKNPP. The vehicle was even having permission from Chief Electoral Officer. He questioned Election Commission of India to justify these double standards one for Panthers Party and another for Modi and BJP. Prof. Bhim Singh was addressing a massive rally in Landar, Panchari in Bhamag Block in support of Balwant Singh Mankotia, MLA, President-JKNPP (Udhampur), Dhani Ram Atri contesting from Chenani and Balwan Singh, a Panthers candidate from Reasi. Bhim condemned state administration for dissecting a single Bhamag Block into three Assembly segments. He said that one-third of Bhamag is with Udhampur Assembly constituency, another one-third is with Chenani and rest with Reasi Assembly segments. He said that Udhampur and Chennai Assembly constituencies fall in two different districts which is against the law laid down in Peoples Representation Act. He blamed BJP, NC and Congress for this situation as nobody supported Panthers Party in the Assembly or in the Supreme Court seeking delimitation of Assembly constituencies. Singh promised to give a single Bhamag constituency after delimitation and declare entire Block as backward area. |
