Jammu, Feb 19: The Enforcement Staff led by the Chief Enforcement Officer of Jammu Municipal Corporation while further continuing and intensifying the drive vigorously against the unauthorized construction, violations and encroachments undertook an extensive day long drive.
According to press release, the team sealed the premises at Plot No: 148 Sec No: 6, Channi Himmat, Jammu as the building has been raised in violation of the approved building plan.
Meanwhile, the also seal premises at Marble Market, Jammu have been sealed where the Marble sales outlet was opened without the permission of Jammu Municipal Corporation.
The action of sealing of the building and premises have been taken under section 8 (1) of J&K Control of Building Operation Act, 1988 and with the help of police force from Police Station Channi Himmat and force from District Police Lines, Jammu.
Besides this, the team demolished two Nos of Iron rolling shutters erected by defaulter to convert the residential building into commercial one without the permission of Jammu Municipal Corporation. Further, continuing the drive against the encroachments the team also demolished the pillers and gate alongwith wall raised by encroaching upon Municipal Lane at Gandhi Nagar, Jammu. The Jammu Municipal Corporation appeals to the General Public to refrain from making encroachments and unauthorized constructions otherwise action as admissible under rule leading to demolition / sealing will be taken for such violation. |
