CPPWU demands release of wages of HCC workers

kishtwar, Feb 19: Chinar Power Projects Workers Union has demanded immediate release of wages of three months in respect of workers of HCC engaged for the execution of Tunnel No.48 of Banihal Katra rail track.
Joginder Bhandari, Chairman CPPWU has said that the workers engaged by Hindustan Construction Company(HCC) for the execution of work of Tunnel No.48 between Banihal and Sangaldan railway trek have not been disbursed wages for the last three months as a result of which the workers are on strike for the last four days.
Bhandari has stressed upon the Assistant Labour Commissioner Ramban to immediately direct the HCC and its principal employer IRCON to release three months wages in respect of its workers failing which the Union will interfere into the matter.
