JAMMU, Feb 19: A function of Display Your Talent was organized by the staff of Sacred Heart College of Education Paloura, Jammu in the college premises in the presence of Prof. Mubarak Singh, HOD, Education Department JU was the Chief Guest of the occasion.
On the occasion, Rajni Bala Chairperson of the college presided over the function. The function was started with the lightening of lamp by the esteemed Chief Guest. The cultural programme begin with the welcome address by the Principal of the college Dr. KK Tiwari. Then the students of the college presented colourful cultural programme.
The various items presented were Dheku dance by Neerja and Group Dogri dance by Tanvi and group, Himachali song by Koushal and group, Comedy skit by Ajay, Sanjeev, Sunil, Nadeem, Bolly wood dance by Diksha and group, Punjabi dance by Shifali and group, and Solo song by Koushal.
The Punjabi dance by Shifali and group was selected as the best performance of the programme. Prof. Mubarak Singh appreciated the efforts of the students and the faculty members and also stressed the need for focusing the practical aspects of education.
Rajni Bala during her address to the students highlighted the role of the students and various items like Punjabi dance, folk dance, skit, Himachali song etc. She also expressed her heartiest gratitude for the chief guest who spared his precious time for the college programme.
Udhay Bhanu Chib, Director of the college congratulated the students and the faculty members for presenting such a programme.
Other staff members who were present on the occasion were Prof. Jyoti Sharma, Prof. Raj Bakshi, Prof. Shallini Mahajan, Prof. Neha Sharma, Prof. Kiran Manhas, Prof. Komal Manhas, among the Non-teaching staff members, those present on the occasion were D.R Panhotra, Nagshewar Singh and Seema Gupta. |
