JAMMU, Feb 19: Post Graduate (PG) Departments dominated the opening day events winning two gold each in men and women sections in the 41st Inter-Collegiate Annual Athletic Meet of University of Jammu, organized by the Directorate of Sports and Physical Education on the campus grounds, here today.
Athletes from 29 affiliated colleges of JU are taking part in this three-day event. Earlier, Vice Chancellor, JU, Prof. RD Sharma, declared open the competition by unfurling the university flag.
Additional Director General of Police (Armed), SM Sahai presided while IGP Armed, Jammu, Mukesh Singh was special guest. Earlier, Director Sports and Physical Education, Prof. Dhian Singh Bhau welcomed the distinguished gathering. Vote of thanks presented by PD Singh.
