Early Times Report

JAMMU, Feb 19: Launching a scathing attack on the Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP), the Panun Kashmir (PK) termed the present parleys going on between BJP and PDP for the government formation in J&K are unethical and threat to national security.
Addressing the activists in a meeting of PK's core group, Vijay Bhat, President, Panun Kashmir said, "BJP should think twice before forming an alliance based on compromise on national security, national interest, Article 370, AFSFA and settlement of West Pakistan refugees."
Panun Kashmir cautioned the BJP leadership that it should desist from walking the track of appeasement with the separatists and soft separatists for just forming the government in the state. "BJP should bear in mind it is the top leadership of PDP in the form of Mufti Sayeed who was then in Congress party that engineered the Anantnag riots in 1986 against the KP community and ultimately helped the communal forces to wreck havoc on this minority that culminated in the holocaust and genocide of 1990," Bhat said.
"By joining hands with such forces BJP is following the Congress precedent and subjecting the non-Muslim minorities of the state to complete servitude of Kashmiri Muslim separatist communalism.
Any government formation based on the compromise on national interest in Jammu and Kashmir will act as facilitator for diluting the Indian sovereignty and territorial integrity in the state," he added.
In the meeting, participants were unanimous in their conclusion that no political dispensation has dared to address the cause of holocaust and genocide of the religiously cleansed Kashmiri Pandit community so far.
Bhat further said, "It is a matter of shame for the Indian political establishment and the secular brigade of India who leave no opportunity to raise the persecution of minorities in rest of India but have maintained continued silence over the religious cleansing of Kashmiri Pandits in 1989-90 by the Kashmiri Muslim separatist communalists in Kashmir to convert entire Kashmir valley into Dar ul Islam at the behest of their masters in Pakistan."
"Enquiry commissions were constituted from time to time to enquire into the religious riots that took place in rest of India to deliver justice to the minority groups but no Enquiry Commission has been constituted to bring to justice the perpetrators of holocaust and genocide on minuscule minority of Kashmiri Pandits so far. Every political dispensation has brushed under the carpet this gave human tragedy that took place in post Independence secular India," he added.
