Jammu, Feb 19: A Delegation of Bari Brahmana Industries Association under the chairmanship of Rakesh Bhat, today met the Commissioner Commercial Tax Department at Jammu in which they discuss the issues related to Industrial Sector.
According to press release, during the course of discussions Lalit Mahajan, General Secretary BBIA highlighted the various issues related to the Industrial Sector viz Exemption of Entry Tax on Industrial Equipments like EOT Crane, Fork Lifts, Pallet Trucks widely used for the material handling in the Industrial Units whereas the department has classified these items under earth moving equipments, Exemption on entry tax on spares and consumables, Green Cannel for Industrial sector, 24X7 clearance of goods and Installation of Full Body Truck Scanner at Lakhanpur Check Post.
Commissioner, Commercial Tax given a patient hearing and assured the Delegation to resolve the issues related to the Industrial Sector on priority basis and also assured to take up matter with concerned Deputy Commissioner to resolve the issues related to Lakhanpur Check post for the speedy clearance of Goods.
Lalit Mahajan, General Secretary, Sidharth Dogra, Treasurer, J.L. Gupta and P.S. Jaggi member Executive Committee were attended the meeting. |
