Jammu, Feb 19: Expressing deep concern over inordinate delay in regularization of 180 daily rated workers fall under SRO 64 working in the rural development department before March 1994 in Jammu region, President of the National Mazdoor Conference Subash Shastri today urged the Governor to personally intervene in to matter and issue necessary instructions to the concered authorites for ordering their immediate regularization. According to press release, in a memorandum to NN Vohra, Shastri pointed out that the planning department having sanctioned 180 posts way back in 2009 to regularized these daily rated workers of the rural development department of Jammu province who were engaged before 1994 and fall under SRO64, but despite the fact that file is still pending in the administrative department for their regularization since then for reason known to the concerned department. He expressed his dismay that no definite policy is being followed as per the regularization of 62000 daily rated workers working in the various departments of the State government and demanded that if these daily wagers fall under SRO 64 then there is no reason but so ever to delay the regularization of 180 daily rated of rural development department so far. Shastri hoped that the matter will be sorted out as early as possible by the state Govt. and orders for their regularization be issued at the earliest so that confusion and uncertainty among 180 daily wagers of the rural development department can come to end. Shastri disclosed that two copies of the said memorandum were also sent to Prime Minister and Minister of State (PMO) in this regard for their immediate intervention and sorted out this matter which is laying pending in the department for the last so many years for their disposal. |
