Jammu, Feb 19: Following complaint from victim, Janipur Police today arrested a teacher for alleged molesting a girl student. A case stands registered in this regard.
Police sources said, "the victim (name withheld) lodged a compliant with Janipur police alleging therein that her teacher namely Sunil Kapoor of Janipur presently working at IQE Institute Main Stop Janipur tried to molest her when she was alone in the institute.
"Acting on the complaint, a team led by SHO Police Station Janipur, Manzoor Kohli assisted by SI Arun Sharma under the Supervision of SDPO West Sriram Ambarkar, SP North Shiv Kumar Chouhan and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand raided the institute and arrested the accused," they added.
"A case under FIR No. 44/ 2015 under section 354 of RPC has been registered at Janipur police station and further investigation is on, police sources said. |
