Jammu, Feb 21 (JNF): Fast Track Court today rejected the bail application of one Raj Singh who was arrested by the police in rape with a 70 years old woman.
Presiding Officer Fast Track Court Y P Kotwal after hearing APP GS Charak appearing for the state whereas Adv Ravinder Sharma and Adv Jasbir Singh Jasrotia appearing for the accused observed that the case is at initial stage and as the offence attributed to the applicant is heinous in nature and accused if granted bail will hamper and tamper with the prosecution evidence. And with these observations, the Court rejected the bail application.
According to the police case on January 1, when the victim aged 70 years had gone out to attend the natures call in the field, accused Raj Singh forcibly committed rape on her.
