Jalandhar, Feb 21: With the conclusion of 240 women boxing bouts for pre-quarter and quarter finals on 3rd day at LPU for All India Inter University Boxing Championship, LPU boxers have entered semi-finals to be held on Sunday.
With the final bouts fast approaching, the excitement among boxers and their supporters is worth noticing. Motivating shrieks of supporters "Strike again, One two attack, right attack, left attack, push her back" are continuously echoing loud around both the boxing rings at LPU Campus. AIU Observer Dr JS Kajal, Chief Coach at NIS Patiala and Coach of Indian Boxing Team Dr TL Gupta, Accompanying official Dr RS Rana from MD University Rohtak applauded all arrangements made at LPU for smoothness of the championship.
The first phase of the championship will be up to 23rd Feb for women competitions and next phase will last up to 4th March 2015 for Men bouts. |
