Jammu, Feb 24 : Aarakshan Virodhi Party Jammu (AVMJ) condemned the reservation on the name of caste, religion and region and termed it undemocratic. According to press release a meeting of AVMJ held under the chairmanship of Som Nath Sharma Vice President of JKGCWF at Geeta Bhawan Jammu. Addressing the meeting Sharma strongly condemned the reservation on the name of caste, religion and region and termed it undemocratic. He demanded that all the previleges given on the basis of caste, religion and region be withdrawn as these privileges had given birth to politic corruption, inequality, injustice, discrimination and had been mere wastage of public money, the welfare scheme be implemented for the welfare of the poor irrespective of caste, religion and region. Sharma said that reservation on other privileges are not birth right of anyone as claimed by some political, he said under article 16 (1) Right to equality is a fundamental right of every Indian. |
