The SHOs and Chowki Officers have been asked to deposit the collected amount in the offices of their respective SSPs .
"The officers have been asked to deposit the amount at the earliest," sources said.
After receiving the verbal orders the SHOs and Incharge Police Posts of Jammu Zone have begun exercise of collecting funds from as they made calls to several people for the 'donations'.
For the last two days, the officers instead of looking after their Police Stations and Posts are busy in collecting money for the tournament.
The reasons for entrusting the job of funds collection to SHOs and Chowki Officers is for the simple reason of their influence on prominent persons of their respective areas which means that they can amass huge collections.
Sources said that the funds to be collected will be disguised as the money given by the sponsors wishing to contribute for the tournament.
Even some officials other than the SHOs and Incharge Police Posts have been engaged to ensure huge collections for the tournament from the rich business class of Jammu city.
