Youth of Kathua to organize Young Achievers’ T20 Cricket Tournament

Kathua, Feb.24: Youth and Sportsmen hailing from district Kathua are going to organize Young Achievers’ T20 Cricket Tournament from March 6 at Sports stadium Kathua. The theme of the tournament will be ‘Don’t play with Life, play Cricket, Let us make India drug free Nation.’
While informing to press conference, Jagbir Singh, an organizer, informed that the tournament would begin from March 6th where various cricket clubs would participate to make the tournament interesting and successful.
Jagbir informed that the tournament will be organized in the memory of Late Ch. Saran Singh where a cash prize of about Rs 3 lakhs will be given to winner Rs 1.5 lacs to first runner up and Hyundai Eco car to Man of the series. He said that Rs. 10,000/- as entry fees must be deposited to get registration in tournament. Rajinder Singh Babby, chief Organizer, said that the tournament begins with an educative purpose to aware the youth about participation in Games & Sports for physical and mental development than indulging in drug addiction and other anti-social activities. He ensured to work for the welfare of society in future too and sought maximum participation of Youth brigade for the development of the society. Vickey, Suman Sharma, Ashok Sharma, Sarpanch Daleep Singh, Pankaj Sharma and many other organizer members appraised facilities being given to players in the tournament.
