Revenue department fails to protect state land of Dinga

Kathua, Mar 18: It might sound bizarre but true as 200 kanals state land has been grabbed by some elements in new administration unit Dinga but despite having the knowledge of such encroachment concerned Revenue Department keeps mum and acts like spectator.
Moreover, Panchayat body raised the issue before Tehsildhar, SDM and other officials of revenue department but nothing has been done till day.
Kuldeep Gupta Sarpanch Panchayat Dinga today staged a protest demonstration outside the office of DDC Kathua and appealed to take apposite action against such Revenue officers who allegedly involved in such menace.
Gupta said 200 kanals state land including of PWD has been bluntly grabbed but after raising the issue before concerned authority, no action has been taken till day. He said if government cannot protect its land, how can it bring development in the state? He alleged on few officers of Revenue department to urge grabbers.
Gupta demanded to vacate such land for the building of new administration unit. He warned to raise the issue before higher authority and concerned Minister if nothing is done to vacate grabbed land.
While contacted to Mushtaq Ahmad, ADC Kathua, he ensured to vacate such land with immediate effect and informed that the matter has already been discussed with Tehsildhar. He instructed concerned Tehsildhar to inspect the matter and submit a report about existing status within days.
