GS Asgotra Early Times Report JAMMU, Mar 18: Under the nose of authorities, mass copying in Matriculation exams being conducted by J&K Board of School Education has been going on unabated in a school in Hiranagar tehsil, but authorities rather than initiating action against the officers responsible are feigning ignorance to the menace. Sources informed Early Times that Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has set up two examination centers for matriculation examination in tehsil Hirangar and there are reports of mass copying in one of the centers, reportedly in connivance with the invigilation staff. "One such school is Higher Secondary School Salan in tehsil Hiranagar, in which two examination centers have been set up by authorities. There are reports that mass copying is going on rampantly", sources alleged. Congress leader from Billawar, Hukam Chand Sharma informed Early Times that in both the examination centers, majority students were from private schools. "Some people informed me that mass copying is going on in both the schools with connivance of the invigilators", he said, alleging that students from government schools informed that money was being charged from the students, for allowing mass copying. "No flying squad has so far visited the school, despite a complaint registered by me to Chairman of JKBOSE", he said, alleging that some officials of Board and the staff deputed in the school were involved in the menace. Chairman of JKBOSE, could not be contacted, as the phone was switched off at 7:30 PM. |
