Jammu, Mar 18: Anjuman Farogh-e-Urdu Jammu and Kashmir, Jammu in its literary meeting held under the chairmanship of its president Amin Banihali was delighted rather excited to know that the Education Minister of the State in an interview with Urdu daily Uddan had assured that he would ensure that Urdu language which at the moment has become a la-waris zaban despite its being the official language of the State will be suitably rehabilitated and it would be given its due place at the earliest.
The Minister had asserted that he would try to make it a compulsory language upto 10th class. He further is reported to have said that special attention would be given to Education sector and all draw backs shall be removed. The Anjuman wished that the words uttered by the person at the helm of affairs would be put into practice notwithstanding that it may be opposed by the co-partner of the government whose bent of mind towards this language is well known.
