Job aspirants held protest against postponement of screening test for NRHM posts

Jammu, Mar 22: Hundreds of job aspirants, their friends and family members today held a strong protest over the postponement of screening test for various National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) posts and block the main road outside Boys Higher Secondary School Kishtwar for hours together before the administration reschedule the timing for evening.
As per the details available with "Early Times" the screening test for various NRHM posts advertised by the health department for District Kishtwar was scheduled to take place today at 11am, but was postponed by the health authorities after Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar objected to the question paper and directed the health authorities to prepare the question paper fresh, that too in his office chamber. As soon as the authorities announced postponement of the screening test, the irked job aspirants objected the decision and held a strong protest by blocking the road demanding immediate conduct of the test. The angry protesters was also joined by some political activists who brought the matter into the notice government through MoS Sunil Sharma and keeping in view of law and order problem, the government order DC Kishtwar and Chief Medical Officer Kishtwar to conduct the screening test today itself. After strong protest and government direction, the test was later rescheduling for at 5 PM.
While talking to "Early Times", the angry job aspirants said that after undergoing through lot of hardships, many aspirants reach Kishtwar headquarter only to participate in the test, added that many job aspirants are staying in hotels and termed the earlier decision of postponement of the screening test as harsh and unjustified. They also demanded an inquiry to ascertain the reasons thereof behind the postponement of the test. Many job aspirants feared favouritism and demanded that the papers should be checked by the independent authorities so that the trust among the job seekers could be restored.
