NSF demands 24 hours health services in JU

Jammu, Mar 29 : Activists of National Secular Forum (NSF) today demanded round the clock health services in University of Jammu. According to press release, General Secretary Narinder Singh said that health center should be functional 24 hours and as the students in the hostel have to suffer a lot due to non availability of doctors. "Health centre of varsity campus opens only few hours in each day and closed when campus off", he said, adding that the need an early up gradation and proper regulation and well management for smooth running of health center in the campus. He further disclosed that the Health Centre has X-Ray Machine but lack of Machine operator, for last three years machine gathering dust in health centre. Six months back a contractual technician was appointed by the Varsity authorities but still has failed to function. "Authorities of Jammu University charge fee under this category but do not provide the facilities which mean the students are being duped. Even, the first aid boxes have not been provided to the university departments" he concluded.
