RET teachers stages protest, demand release of SSA salary | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 29 : All Jammu and Kashmir Teachers Forum today staged protest demonstration under the leadership of state President Vinod Sharma in which they demanded release of SSA salary. According to press release, the protest was held at Exhibition ground Jammu in which State Executive body members, District Presidents and a large number of delegates were also participated. They demanding from government to release pending SSA salary and revocation of orders issued by Chief Education Officers to exempt the RET Teachers whether regularized or un-regularized from exam duties. Speaking on the occasion, Vinod Sharma said that regularized RET Teachers under SSA through out the State are without the salary for last 4 to 10 months and are facing acute problems to meet out their basic family needs. He further said that they have met with hon'ble Education Minister and hon'ble finance minister but still the grants have not been released even though the financial year is about to end. He further said that instead of resolving the salary issue the govt. has issued controversial order exempting RET Teachers from exam duties. "RET teachers have been performing highly sensitive duties like election duty, census duty, survey duty, BLO duty etc. quite efficiently but they are disengaged from exam duties which has hurt the sentiments of thousands of RET Teachers throughout the state", Sharma said. Younis Rahi ,Rajesh Singh, Sukhdev Singh, Naresh Sharma, Masood Shah, Sham Sharma, Balwan Singh and Mahesh Kumar were also present on the occasion. |
