JAMMU, Apr 20: PEACE (Voluntary organization) organized a function in remote village Duna, Tehsil Latti, District Udhampur, on the topic 'Flash Flood and Lesson Learnt'.
According to press release, Tehsildar Bishan Dass was Chief Guest on this occasion where as president PEACE Narinder Sharma presided over the function. Large number of public including victims of recent floods were attended the function and benefitted out of this programme.
Blankets, Tarpaulines and sleeping mats were also distributed among hundreds of affected family members. While speaking, Tehsildar Bishan Dass awared the public about the climate change and stressed to learn lesson from these floods.
President PEACE, Narinder Sharma, explained the some main causes of floods and stressed upon the Govt, to launch massive plantation in Udhampur as this district was worst affected in the State with maximum causalities. |
